Peer-Reviewed articles (also known as a scholarly or academic articles) are research articles that have been evaluated through the peer-review process. To learn more about the peer-reivew process watch the 3 minute video below.

Students can use One Search and library databases to find peer-review articles. Check out the images below for easy ways to limit a search to just peer-reveiwed journal articles.

The One Search box can be found on the library homepage HERE or by using the link below.
After you do a search for your topic look on the left side of your resultd for limiters. Under the Content Type section you will see a box for Peer-Reviewed. Clicking this box tells One Search to only show items that are peer-reveiwed articles.
Step #2: Use the Peer-Review check box (left side of the page) to limit to only peer-reviewed articles.
You can also limit to peer-reviewed articles in some of our databases. Please see the examples below from some of our popular databases.
When you do a search in Science Direct you can limit to peer-reivewed journal articles by selecting the limiter for research articles.
After you do a search in U.S. History in Context 1) click on the link that says "Academic Articles" and 2) Check the box for Peer-Reviewed Articles.
