Look for CRAAP when evaluating web resources.
- Currency: Check the dates, when was this resource published? Look over your topic and determine if current or historical information will best for your assignment?
- Reliability: Does it relate to my topic? Who is the intended audience?
- Authority: Who is the author and what are their credentials? Would they be considered an expert or have they done other research on the topic? Google them, or check the About Us page. Do some investigating.
- Accuracy: How reliable and correct is the information? Are citations included?
- Purpose: Is the information fact or opinion? Does the website or author show biased towards the topic?
