Borrowing from the library

We have a robust selection of books and DVDs that can be checked out from the library. Our collection can be browsed online through NVC's Library webiste.

Alamo Colleges students, faculty and staff may borrow materials from the NVC Library using their Alamo Colleges ID.

Community members and students from other Texas colleges and universities may also borrow from the NVC Library, but only with a TexShare card.

👤 Who Can Borrow & For How Long?

Below are the loan limits for each patron type:
Students:
Loan Period: 21 days
Maximum number of books: 15
Maximium number of DVDs: 5 
Total Items: 15

Faculty & Staff:
Loan Period: 30 days
Maximum number of books: 15
Maximium number of DVDs: 5 
Total Items: 15

TexShare:
Loan Period: 14 days
Maximum number of books: 5
Maximium number of DVDs: 5 
Total Items: 5

⏰ Late Fees

***Late Fees can be waived once items are returned and checked in to the Circulation Desk***
