Northwest Vista College is dedicated to creating opportunities for success for many different kinds of students. Some students may have physical and/or mental challenges or impairments that interfere with their ability to succeed in the classroom. The Access office offers services to help "level the playing field" and create opportunities for success for students with these challenges. Please call 210-486-4466 for information.

If you need disability services, please complete the form at the link below. The link below is for all students with disabilities needing disability services at NVC. This includes new students with disabilities, returning students with disabilities and students with disabilities needing accommodations for the TSI placement exam.

Veterans seeking enrollment at Northwest Vista College are encouraged to contact the Department of Veterans Affairs for information regarding specific type of eligibility and extent of educational benefits coverage. Our staff members in the NVC Veterans Center located in the Desert Willow Welcome Center, Room DWWC-120 can assist students by providing certification of courses and electronically submitting such information to the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Northwest Vista College recognizes that students struggling economically or with mental health issues may find college overwhelming at times. We know that stress can impact academic performance. Any student experiencing challenges is encouraged to reach out to the NVC Student Advocacy and Resource Center.  The Advocacy Center provides emergency student aid, help with essential needs, and individual and group mental health counseling at no cost to students.
